Can I remove an object from a photo online for free?
You can try object removal using eligible welcome credits. New accounts currently receive 3 credits, and one removal costs 2 credits. That covers one edit, with 1 credit remaining. Additional edits require available credits; this is not an unlimited free service.
How do I remove an unwanted object without Photoshop?
Upload one photo, describe the object and its location, then select Remove object. Nano Banana 2 Lite edits the image and reconstructs the background. You do not need to paint a mask or install editing software.
Can I remove a person or clutter from the background?
You can request removal of an unwanted background person, bin, cable or other distraction. Be specific about where it appears. Results depend on the scene: large occlusions and complex backgrounds can require another edit, which uses additional credits.
Will the rest of my photo stay exactly the same?
The instruction asks AI to preserve the rest of the scene, but exact pixel preservation is not guaranteed. AI may alter fine details, text or textures. Compare the original and result carefully, especially for product or commercial photos.
Which photo formats and file sizes are supported?
Upload one JPEG, PNG or WebP image up to 4 MB. Use a smaller export if your file exceeds the limit. The tool keeps the source aspect ratio automatically; it does not offer a separate resolution selector.
Do failed edits use credits?
A task uses 2 credits when it is created. If the provider confirms that generation failed, the deduction is reversed. Closing the page or a slow response does not mean the task failed: check its status or history before starting another paid edit.
Are my photos processed on my device?
No. Unlike a local browser-only editor, this tool uploads your photo for AI processing and stores task information for your generation history. Review the privacy policy and avoid uploading sensitive material you do not want processed.
